PESI UK - Trauma training and healing with Dr Bessel van der Kolk.

Involvement in a PhD study on newly qualified counsellors working in trauma.

PESI UK - Emotional abuse, gas lighting and and narcissistic relationships.

Planned CPD events for 2024:

My experience

Private Practice

I set up DC Counselling Service in April 2023.  There is also a Facebook page for the service which you can contact me on.  I take my ethical practice extremely seriously to ensure that your needs are met and we work collaboratively together.  DC Counselling Service offers remote counselling via video or telephone.  Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any inquiries or for any further information.

Southend Carers

Southend Carers is a local charity providing help, support, advice and counselling to family carers looking after someone in Southend-on-Sea.

I first started working for the charity in March 2022 as a trainee counsellor.  I gained valuable experience and received regular mentoring in order to support my clients.

Since qualifying, I continued to volunteer as a counsellor until August 2023, but still volunteer for events.

South Essex Homes

South Essex Homes South Essex Homes is a social housing service, providing affordable council homes to residents over the age of 18 in Southend.

I started working for the organisation as a student counsellor since March 2021, and continued to work with clients after qualifying up until August 2023.
